“April was quick and efficient. She really helped bring our dreams to light. She ensured we had enough storage space and hidden plugs too! We look forward to working with her on our next project.”

Alex Marquez, Home Owner (Project: Kitchen Remodel in Northeast Dallas)

“April was amazing to work with on our office design and build. She took a lot of varying opinions and brought them together in a unified design for the space. She was very involved every step of the way in helping us select all finishes and also keeping our contractor honest. There were a number of places the contractor varied from the design and April did a great job staying true to the design while honoring the budget. Truly couldn't have pulled this space together without her and we receive compliments all the time about the beautiful office space she designed - it's practical and functional while being beautiful and unique.”

Samantha Darnell, Director of Strategy and Chief of Staff at Take Command Health (Project: Commercial Interior Remodel in Dallas)

“After speaking with a few builders and designers, my wife and I found ourselves a bit frustrated and confused as to how to move forward and if we should move forward with a remodel. At that point we reached out to April and her professional demeanor, her ability to listen and to speak clearly gave us the clarity we needed to move forward. Due to her experience working with older homes in East Dallas and her creativity, we've already recommend her to our family and friends.”

John Bower, Home Owner (Project: Design and Consultation for Remodel, 1950’s home in Lake Highlands)

“April did a fabulous job of listening to our ideas and then drawing up what we envisioned. We highly recommend April for her vision and skills.”

Kelly Trabold, Home Owner (Project: 1st Floor full remodel, 1940’ home in University Park)

“April was recommended to us as we prepared to remodel our '70's era master bath in our Lake Highlands/North Dallas neighborhood. April worked closely with Terri to complete a design we both loved. She was also responsive and understanding when the contractor's bid exceeded our comfort level and worked with Terri to trim costs without sacrificing the overall look and finish of the space. She was easy to work with, quick to reply to calls and e-mails and worked closely with our contractor to complete the job to our satisfaction. We hope to work with her again.

Charlie and Terri Brim, Home Owners (Project: Master Bath Remodel, 1970’s home in Old Lake Highlands

“Our 3200 square foot house was a 1960’s mess: choppy rooms, small bathrooms, limited closet space and formals, which were never used. We have a beautiful back yard that rolls to a creek that we couldn’t see because there were no back facing windows in the house. There was no master bedroom suite. The kitchen had been renovated by previous owners in the 80’s, but it was boxed in and separated from the rest of the house, dark and dreary. When my husband and I began discussing what we needed to do to make the house more functional, we experienced the domino effect: new kitchen which led to knocking down walls which led to new floors which led to repainting which led to updated bathrooms, etc. We were immobilized by the number of things that needed to be done. Thank goodness for April. She saw possibilities in our house we never considered. Early in the process, April developed a timeline which we adhered to. If April said the floor plans were going to be completed by a certain day, they were done by that date. If April said we needed to have tile selections made at a certain time, she was at our house with samples on that date. She kept the project moving forward. April really listened to our needs and wants, and had the industry knowledge to make them come to fruition. April is knowledgeable about city housing codes. Our home was grossly out of code in several areas which we would have never known. April helped us understand why many less flashy things needed to be done in order for our house to be safe. We can rest knowing our house is up to code as well as functional. Now our home is simply beautiful. It’s light, bright, airy, and functional. Beautiful picture windows frame our backyard and we enjoy observing the wildlife that lives near the creek. We can now entertain our friends without someone being stuck in the kitchen because now the kitchen is a part of the house. As for those formals, we now have an office which we actually use and an increased footprint for living space. All we could see when we started the remodel process were a few knocked out walls and a couple of picture windows. Thanks to April’s vision, we have a brand new house. I highly and eagerly recommend April for small or large remodel needs. Your home will be more beautiful than you can imagine.”

Jan Corona, Home Owner (Project: Full home remodel - Interior Design, Construction Drawings, Construction Support; 1960’s home in White Rock Hills)

“Without hesitation, I highly recommend East Dallas Interiors and April Cook. From the very first meeting with April, I was impressed at her immense knowledge of the construction process and her keen ability to visualize the spatial potential of an area. I was faced with a “forced renovation” after a tree fell on my home and little or no time to devote to making the numerous selections that are involved with a renovation. April intuitively selected several choices for me along the way and made the process seamless. She also introduced so many clever home improvement ideas that I never would have thought of and is extremely detailed oriented. She is easy to work with, timely in her communication and truly an advocate for you during your construction. I am so pleased with the result of my home and much of the credit goes to April. Thank you, East Dallas Interiors, for making my home beautiful again.”

Pamela Payne, Home Owner (Project: Full Home Remodel - Interior Design, Construction Plans, and Construction Support; 1960’s home in Far North Dallas)

“Great to work with and attention to detail. Was very insightful in providing a clean slate view of what is possible along with a series of modified ideas that fit our budget and lifestyle. Observant to our home lifestyle with pets, habits and routines which provided useful input to things we had not considered ! Liked that opportunities to save money where possible were brought forward. Also comes highly recommended by our friends and had worked closely with our chosen contractor.”

Charles Dube, Home Owner (Project: Interior design and construction/architectural drawings; 1980’s home near Love Field)

“April was a delight to work with--she listened and understood what we needed and wanted in renovating a 1960's galley kitchen/den area to a completely awesome kitchen and living space. I love to cook and entertain and she figured out a way to make it all happen with the new layout. Bathrooms were renovated, too, and I love my master bath space and how she was able to give us so much storage/cabinet space. Extremely professional in not rushing us to make final decisions, laying out very precise budgeting, and keeping us on track to projected time lines. Having never done a renovation before, she even interviewed contractors with us to make sure we got what we needed. I have referred April to many of my friends and neighbors. We would highly recommend her knowledge, services and resources to anyone; we are more than happy to cast our vote for April and East Dallas Interiors!!!”

Janine Schiell, Home Owner (Project: Interior Design and Permit Plans; 1960’s home in Eastwood Hills)

April is very creative with a wealth of ideas, and is able to juggle several things simultaneously while keeping a level head.
With a design background, April was able to consult with us on many levels other than one specialty. This was a tremendous asset to our office plan and design. The longer I worked with April the more insight I gained into her many talents and her wealth of expertise.
April delivers more to the customer than promised - and that is rare in today's business world!"

"April Wade is the perfect combination of form meeting functionality. I originally met April when she was working at BOKA Powell as an Interior Designer. She was incredible to work with because she was great at orchestrating all of the moving parts within a project, including the design deliverables, the furniture, etc. Moving over to Project Management was a natural fit for her and she has excelled as a Sr. Project Manager. April understands the importance of understanding what the client is trying to achieve and assisting them to meet their deadlines and keeping them on track. She has a keen eye for quality, both with products and services. I love working with her because she is direct, professional, and very respectful of my time and efforts. She is my customer, but treats me with the same respect that that she would treat any client or colleague. I would highly recommend her for any project no matter the size. April is one of the best in the business."
